Whatever happened to hot water bottles? I'm talking about those red, flat, rubber doohickeys that folks took to bed with them back in the day.
I can remember seeing one in my grandmother's linen closet. It gave me a slightly creepy feeling, like the sight of a used plunger.
But what was it for? What did it do? How much did it cost? Where was it sold? How come I don't have one now, and if I did, would it improve my life?
