Alice had her Looking Glass; I have my White Flower Farms catalog, and the one from Seed Savers Exchange, and Dutch Gardens, and Gurney's. Either way, we both end up in a faraway place in our own back yards.
Circumstances delayed this year's fantasy getaway. The weeks before it finally snowed had made winter seem like a long November. Besides, diving into domestic distractions felt vaguely irresponsible, given the state of the world.
But yikes, it's mid-February! And despite my vow to keep from starting seeds too early (an annual vow, annually broken) it appears this year that not only did I successfully refrain ...
