CENTRAL AFRICA -- "Shoot anything that moves," rebel soldiers in central and western Africa say. They're not talking about shooting enemy soldiers, but animals that live deep in the African bush, or forest.
One night in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a gang of soldiers crept into a remote wildlife preserve. Armed with machine guns, the soldiers sprayed bullets up and down the river, mowing down an entire herd of hippos.
