Microsoft Corp.'s answers to Sendo's lawsuit, filed last week in a Texas court, further illuminate the bitter fight between the two companies, as well as provide insight into the complicated and cutthroat market for high-end mobile phones.
Sendo's claims against Microsoft, first filed in December, paint the picture of a young and earnest mobile-phone maker that was used and betrayed by a software giant looking for a way into wireless--after being rebuffed by the industry's major device makers. On the other hand, Microsoft's counterclaims portray Sendo as a bumbling, mismanaged hardware company trying to weasel more funding from its deep-pocketed software partner. ...
