It was the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's misfortune to have lost Glyn O'Malley's "Paradise" after strong objections were expressed at a December reading by a small number of the area's Muslim community.
But to the Playhouse's credit, "Paradise," may in the future, be regained. A step was taken Tuesday evening at a reading of the 70-minute play and a question and answer session following the reading.
Artistic Director Edward Stern said, "It is fair to say that several members of the Muslim community were very upset by the play. They accused the play as (being) racist and anti-Muslim."
