Poland's new passenger car sales rise 19% y-o-y to 28,201 units in January as imports soar

Warsaw. February 20. INTERFAX-EUROPE - New passenger car sales in Poland grew by 19% to 28,201 units in January versus the same month a year ago thanks to soaring imports, according to figures published Thursday by car-market research agency Samar.

The increase took place solely thanks to imported car sales, which were up 46.5% year on year to 22,782 units. Meanwhile, sales of domestically-assembled cars fell a sharp 33% to 5,419 units in January.
