During a Houston concert, singer Patsy Cline met Louise Seger, a fan who quickly became a best friend. The letters they wrote to one another are the inspiration for "Always... Patsy Cline," one of several shows about the country-pop star to make the rounds of stages all over the world.
In the 1995 film biography, "Sweet Dreams," Jessica Lange portrayed the singer. In Ahoskie, that honor belongs to Karen Knowles, with Jessica Joyner portraying Louise in a production that Knowles and Joyner are co-producing.
