Article: Marine Corps Releases Market Survey For LAV Enhanced Fire Support System.(light armored vehicles)

The Marine Corps last week released a market survey seeking information from possible suppliers of a new enhanced fire support system (EFSS) for its fleet of LAV light armored vehicles made by Canada's General Motors Defense [GM].

While the Marine Corps Systems Command is pursuing a similar effort known as the Expeditionary Fire Support System (EFSS) to provide close support indirect fires for Marine infantry, Joe Wagner, with the Marine Corps' LAV program office, said it may not be possible to find one solution to meet both the LAV-EFSS and EFSS needs.
