BELLEVUE -- The standard for high school basketball may have reached the stratosphere with Rainier Beach's high-flying Stewart twins, but Mercer Island's 51-49 victory over Seattle Prep last night at Bellevue Community College had a certain old-school greatness to it.
No dunks, no alley-oops, just well-coached team basketball and a last-second shot to win it.
With the score tied at 49, Islanders junior guard Austin Yuen dribbled down the left side into the frontcourt.
