NEW YORK -- NEW YORK, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- In a tersely worded letter issued today to the US Food and Drug Administration, Niger Innis, National Spokesman of the Congress of Racial Equality, exhorted the health agency to deny a HMO petition to forcibly switch a category of prescription drugs to over-the-counter status.
"Leave healthcare decisions in the hands of physicians and other clinicians, and do not allow the desires of one company to further threaten the health" of minority Americans, the letter stated.
