Antioch Community High School officials might soon approve two new policy changes that would pave the way for random drug testing of students in all extracurricular activities.
The discussion, which first surfaced two weeks ago, was brought up again at a Thursday night board meeting. If imposed, Antioch would join a small list of schools nationwide that have adopted such measures.
Currently, athletes at Antioch High sign contracts before joining sports, ultimately agreeing not to indulge in drugs and alcohol. It's a common procedure used by many school districts across the region.
