Feb. 24--LAKELAND, Fla.--Most Major League Baseball teams change spring training sites as frequently as "Joe Millionaire" dropped girlfriends.
But there is no philandering in the spring romance between the Detroit Tigers and Lakeland. The relationship that began in 1934 still is going strong.
The couple renewed their marriage vows last year with a lease extension that will keep the Tigers at the city's Joker Marchant Stadium through 2016.
This is the Tigers' 67th spring training in Lakeland, the longest relationship between a major-league team and a host city. ...
