The changing Dutch pension environment has led to Barclays Global Investors (BGI) losing a mandate to Frank Russell.
Dutch publisher, Wolters Kluwer, has picked Russell to manage part of its pension portfolio, and has chosen three of its multi-manager equity funds covering Japan, Pacific Basin and emerging markets. Neither company would be drawn on the new mandate's value, but it is thought to be relatively small considering total assets under management at the beginning of 2002 was E454m.
