2003 FEB 24 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Lowering the blood pressure of type 2 diabetics with peripheral artery disease can significantly reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, according to a new study reported in the January issue of Circulation.
Heart disease is the major cause of death for people with diabetes, who are 2-5 times more likely to develop heart disease than non-diabetics.
