When women's designer Edmundo Castillo set out to open his first namesake shop eight months ago at 219 Mott St. in New York, he envisioned a store that was different from the rest. "Everything out there is very `store,"' he said. "I find most stores boring. They're just shelves with shoes."
Castillo's vision was to re-create an intimate world much like that of his living room, the place where his business began three-and-a-half years ago.
