Jason Self of Little Rock, former owner of VSM Delivery Co., pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court in Memphis to two counts of defrauding Union Planters National Bank.

Leigh Anne Jordon, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Memphis, confirmed that Self entered a guilty plea to two of the 24 counts that were handed down by a grand jury last August. The remaining counts were dismissed as part of a plea agreement, Jordon said.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 16. No sentence was included in the plea agreement, she said, and each count carries a maximum of 30 years in prison, a fine of up to $1 million or both.
