Thomson ISI announced that Tohoku University has purchased all backfiles of ISI Web of Science(R)-- the powerful Web-based resource that enables users to search current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from the world's most prestigious scholarly journals.
With the purchase of files back to 1945, Tohoku University--ranked by ISI Essential Science Indicators(SM) first among all institutions in the area of Material Science--became the first institution in Japan to invest in the full ISI Web of Science file for their research community.
