Just as we're bracing for more snow in DC, Travel Channel warms us by providing details about the 5th annual "Beach Week." First, the festivities will run May 4-10 this year instead of in March, as in year's past, Travel pres Steve Cheskin says. There are several reasons for the move to a summer Beach Week from a spring break Beach Week, he says: more people go to the beach in the summer, so advertisers were more interested in that; and the traditional ratings grabber "gives us something strong to put against broadcasters for May sweeps."
