Feb. 28--Out in Colorado Springs, they've had the balloons and streamers ready for weeks now. The US Olympic Committee has been ready and waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting to announce its $50 million in new and renewed sponsorships for the next quadrennium.
But until the USOC's continuing pie fight ends, no corporation in its right mind wants to be seen as subsidizing a star-spangled Stoogefest, so the press releases have been put on indefinite hold.
This is where the self-styled "world's best Olympic organization" finds itself a year after the stellar Salt Lake ...
