Nursery bosses in Birmingham will today be urged to look towards a new Government apprenticeship scheme to plug the recruitment gap in the childcare sector.
The Modern Apprentice Carers programme will be showcased at a conference being held in the city today. It is being pushed as a solution to the shortage of nursery staff and carers across Birmingham as demand is rising.
