Express air package carrier Airnet Systems Inc. has announced that it would explore strategic alternatives, including a sale of the microcap.
The Feb. 21 news came on the heels of Airnet posting lackluster fourth quarter numbers. Indeed, the $36
million market cap company lost $300,000 on revenue of $37.5 million, compared with a year-earlier gain of $2.1 million on revenue of $35.5 million. Airnet's stock fell by 8.5% to close at $3.65 that day. At press time, the company's shares closed at $3.71, 66% off their 52-week high of $11.05, reached in March 2002.
