Mar. 3--CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Nordstrom Inc. will expand its Nordstrom Direct fulfillment center near The Eastern Iowa Airport and double its work force here by the fall of 2004.
The 39,000-square-foot addition will enable Nordstrom to relocate its customer contact center to Cedar Rapids from north Seattle. The center will handle catalog and online inquiries for Nordstrom merchandise.
Nordstrom said the 275 full- time equivalent jobs will pay a "market-competitive" wage.
