A 19-year-old Madison woman and novice skier died Saturday night after a skiing accident at Tyrol Basin.
Bao Vang, 19, was initially treated by Tyrol's ski patrol and was then transported to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the Dane County sheriff's officials who were called to the Mount Horeb ski area at about 8:30 p.m.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Vang died as a result of a trauma that caused severe internal bleeding.
