Kazakhstan Ambassador calls for action on Sino-Kazakhstan oil pipeline
Shanghai. March 3. INTERFAX-CHINA - Kazakhstan's Ambassador to China, Zhanibek Karibzhanov, said that China's economic development requires new energy supply sources and that Kazakhstan can become one of them. The ambassador expressed his wish that the Sino-Kazakhstan oil pipeline could be launched as soon as possible, and further noted that Kazakhstan would like to step up cooperation with China on oil and gas development in the Caspian Sea area.
The ambassador was interviewed by Zhongguo Shiyou Bao, the official company newspaper of CNPC (China National Petroleum Corp.) last week.
