ZAMBOANGA CITY The fate of the seven hostages in the jungles of Sulu is uncertain as the military failed to provide a clear picture of their whereabouts.
They (hostages) are still in the custody of the Abu Sayyaf in Sulu. We received not much report about their status, Lt. General Narciso Abaya, Southern Command chief, said, adding there is no timetable for their possible rescue.
The seven hostages three Indonesians and four Filipino women have already stayed in the jungles for some nine months, probably suffering from anguish over the uncertainty of their fate, military sources said.
