Azaleas are as commonplace in a Southern garden as sweet tea is in a Southerner's glass. Nothing announces the coming of sprig in the South more than a vast, brightly colored display of azaleas, and a wide array of choices now enables us to enjoy the blooms into other seasons as well.
For Mississippians lucky enough to live in McComb, the enthusiasm for azaleas can be downright contagious when talking to those involved in the Lighted Azalea Trail and the McComb Azalea Festival Tour.
