Sony Ericsson's Managing Director for Spain and Portugal, Raul Ortiz has said the company hopes to gain 12 per cent of the mobile handset market in Spain this year.

Sony Ericsson expects a total of 10.5m handsets to be sold in Spain in 2003, an increase of 5 per cent. In 2002, Sony Ericsson had 8 per cent market share in Spain.
