Mar. 6--Orlando Sentinel Communications, parent company of the Orlando Sentinel, ended its long-standing relationship with advertising agency Fry Hammond Barr on Wednesday in response to recent allegations that agency owner Pete Barr Sr. made insensitive and racist remarks.
Publisher and President Kathleen M. Waltz said the allegations, made last month during the Orlando mayoral race, were contrary to the company's core values of promoting diversity and fostering a culture of inclusiveness and nondiscrimination.
