As a teacher, I am often asked about the moment that has left the greatest impression on me. The first time I was asked, I wracked my brain to find the most meaningful event to happen in my classroom. I couldn't come up with one. That I didn't have a memory that towered above the rest bothered me, until I realized that I had never experienced the moment. For me, teaching has always been about the little everyday moments. Those moments with my students have most strongly shaped who I am and how I teach.
