Look for the following places and things in this issue:
Sun Moon Lake: Taiwan's most famous lake. The northern part is shaped like the sun, while the southern part is shaped like a crescent moon; Guang-ha Island divides them. Legend has it that the lake was once two completely separate bodies of water, but an earthquake united them.
Lanyu: Orchid Island, named for its abundant flowers, growing wild in the hills. Lanyu is 17 square miles and is located off Taiwan's southeast coast.
