Somewhere in every farm shop, including mine, is a container full of broken, dull and useless drill bits.
The best way to keep from adding victims to that drill-bit mortuary is to select the right drill bit for the job and use it correctly.
There are three basic drill bits available for farm use: carbon steel, high-speed steel (HSS) and cobalt.
