You can find fantastic medical breakthroughs anywhere, even in the junk drawer.

According to a new study, duct tape can be used to treat warts. The results were reported in the October issue of the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Coming next month: using vise-grips and a plumb bob to treat acne.

The wart story was a major news event. Coverage in newspapers and on TV featured interviews with leading dermatologists and the two guys who write those "Duct Tape" books that list hundreds of uses for duct tape.
