Mar. 8--Norman Monteith Bryden, a prize-winning public relations man, Boston University professor, and journalist, died Monday in St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford following a heart attack. Mr. Bryden, who lived in New Bedford, was 77.
Although Mr. Bryden's work in public relations kept him on the run and put him in touch with some of the country's high-powered firms, his wife, Janina (Smietana), said his family and his country were his top priorities.
Mr. Bryden's patriotism lasted a lifetime. He forged papers on the day after his 16th birthday to make himself 17 and ...
