Pic 'N' Save restructures and appoints a new chief executive to lead the company
One California retailer underwent a metamorphosis this year by fighting off a take-over attempt and announcing a major restructuring. Dominguez-based Pic 'N' Save Corp. also paid heed to its future during 1990 by appointing a new leader: Len Williams, 53, the company's new president and chief executive officer, who said he wants to bring vibrancy and profitability back to Pic 'N' Save.
"I think it will be fuller and cleaner. It's been cluttered and not picked up well at night," Williams said of the company's 186 stores.
