The Gemological Institute of America has created a merchandising diploma, the latest learning module in the new GIA School of Business, to address challenges such as developing a retail plan, choosing inventory, setting up displays, and even dressing windows. The module will emphasize the principles of inventory management and visual presentation and give students a foundation in retail product management, store design, and sales management as applied to the jewelry industry.
