Shell Hydrogen recently announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with General Motors (GM) Corporation to launch a demonstration project in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area that will feature a fleet of hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) manufactured by GM, as well as a hydrogen fuel pump installed at a Shell retail gasoline station in the area to support the FCVs. Under the MOU, GM will introduce its FCV fleet in May, while Shell is expected to complete installation of the hydrogen pump by October.
