Seneca Falls is the site of the First Women's Rights Convention.
The historic convention took place on July 19 and 20, 1848.
Attended by 300 women and men, it concluded with the signing of the Declaration of Sentiments drafted by Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
As we celebrate Women's History Month, we encourage you to visit this and other historic sites in Seneca Falls - including Elizabeth Cady Stanton's home and the Wesleyan Chapel - that symbolizes an important time in women's history.
