AT HOME WITH SAM & LIBBY
The lady on the plane was making small talk with the nice-looking man seated next to her. "...They make shoes," she told him. "Sam and Libby are their names. They're old. And Jewish." This was certainly news to the young man, whose name just happened to be Sam and whose wife's name just happened to be Libby. Sam introduced himself to his co-traveler and, perhaps softening the embarassment she may have felt, ended up hiring her for a position in his company.
Sam and Libby Edelman, ages 38 and 37, respectively, are the owners of Sam & Libby, the San Carlos, California-based footwear company that, since its creation three years ago, ...
