THE outbreak of dog thefts in South Wales has struck a chord with a family who suffered heartbreak when their pet went missing a year ago.
As revealed in Saturday's Echo, five Labradors have been lost, presumed stolen across the region in recent weeks.
The news brought back sad memories for Viv Lee, of Lansdowne Avenue West, Canton, whose daughter Kirsty was left devastated when her dog Rex went missing near his home last February.
