TINY BARLOW held a bunch of yellow daffodils in her hand. They weren't real but still looked like spring.
She turned them this way and that, added a wad of fake greenery, checked the effect. Put the greenery back, kept the flowers.
``I'm trying to find something to go in a vase,'' she said as she stood in the silk flower aisle of a Michaels Arts and Crafts store. ``The vase just sits there empty, and I want to put something in it.''
She thought a minute about that ``something.''
``I have no talent at all,'' she said, laughing.
