ANAHEIM - For many people, Saturday mornings mean sleeping in a few extra hours or perhaps leisurely reading the newspaper while drinking a cup of coffee.
The Harvard-Westlake High boys' basketball team had a different plan, and it went like this: Wake up. Win the Southern Section Division III-A championship.
By 10:45 a.m., the Wolverines of Studio City had done so, beating Centennial of Compton 74-72 in a thrilling overtime game at the Pond.
Harvard-Westlake was forced to play at Centennial's slow-it-down tempo and with standout guard Bryce Taylor struggling most of the game with foul trouble. ...
