A RECENT survey published in Scientific American shows that only 24 percent to 30 percent of Catholic adults say they attend Mass at least once a week; while 54 percent to 58 percent admit they attend Mass less than once a week. Despite this, church attendance in the United States is higher than in any European country except Ireland and Poland.
