Mar. 11--The Santa Fe Municipal Airport is flying high following an announcement last week that the air field has received a 2002 Outstanding Airport Award from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The airports were recognized "for overall diligence in the planning and implementation of products, airport maintenance, use of airport improvement program resources and compliance with safety standards," according to a statement from the FAA.
