Mar. 12--ALAMO, Texas--Ranger Mike Carlo pointed to a bruise between the index finger and thumb of his right hand, and grimaced.
"This," he said in a pitiful voice, "was caused by cutting out ocelot masks. Seven hundred ocelot masks. Out of card stock." Which Carlo and others will give to kids to color Saturday at the Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge.
Children's activities, including the masks, live-animal demonstrations, a singing zoologist and lots more are part of the festivities planned at the refuge this weekend. The event will celebrate the 100th birthday ...
