Mar. 12--State Supreme Court Justice Elliott Maynard questioned Tuesday why a constitutional issue wasn't addressed before lawmakers created the economic development grant committee in the waning hours of last year's legislative session.
"Don't we have lawyers who look at this, for God's sake?" Maynard said Tuesday as justices heard from lawyers for the committee and a citizens' group challenging the committee's makeup.
