WILLIAM P. DUNLAP died of lung cancer at his home in Metairie, Louisiana, on February 28, 2002. Bill had a long and exceptional record of contributions to the field of research methodology and statistics. Compared with other scholars in the field, Bill was unparalleled in his broad and sustained international impact on the science, teaching, and use of research methods in psychology. He had a genuine passion for researchers to know about statistical and methodological techniques and for them to be able to use those techniques appropriately.
