New car sales rise to 20,000 units in Jan-Feb 2003

Prague. March 12. INTERFAX EUROPE - New car sales in the Czech Republic rose 3.6 % yr/yr in January-Februay 2003 to 19,779 units, according to figures from the Association of Automotive Industries (SAP).

Czech carmaker Skoda Auto (SA) sold the most cars on the Czech Republic in the monitored period, with sales of 9,436 units. SA claimed market share of 47.7 %, or 1.8 % less than a year earlier.
