SEOUL, March 13 Asia Pulse - South Korea registered a current account deficit of US$350 million in January due to a record travel account shortfall, the Bank of Korea said Thursday.

The January figure was Korea's second straight monthly shortfall of the current account, which measures the flow of goods and services between the country and the rest of the world.

Korea posted a current account deficit of US$650 million in December last year, switching from a surplus in the previous month.
