Aniline is an important organic raw material extensively used in sectors of polyurethane, rubber assistants, dyestuffs, pigments, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and special fibers. It is mainly used in the preparation of polyurethane raw material MDI.
1 Advanced technology
The total capacity of aniline in the world was around 2.99 million t/a and the total output was around 2.6 million tons in 2001. The production and the consumption of aniline are mostly concentrated in the United States, West Europe and Asia. The capacity in the United States accounts for 26.6% of the world total.
