WASHINGTON - In a last-ditch attempt to salvage U.N. support for war against Iraq, President Bush will meet with the leaders of Britain and Spain - his staunchest allies - at a mid-Atlantic island summit tomorrow.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar will join Bush in a hastily arranged Sunday gathering in the Azores to discuss an apparently doomed U.N. resolution sponsored by the three countries.
